Inspire. Explore. Grow: Embrace the Tygerfy Musical Philosophy

As I am getting started with my senior years at school in 2026, I’ve begun to think more carefully about how I spend my time. While others head out for fun on holidays and weekends, I often end up at the piano — sometimes by choice, sometimes because it’s staring at me. I bounce between piano practice, watching cricket, building LEGO and wood 3D models, playing chess, and promising myself “just five minutes” of video games. Five minutes never lasts, but somehow I always circle back to the piano… usually to play one charming section again, just for fun.
For me, this time is a sacrifice, but one that always gives something back. I am passionate about playing the music I love, and practice is where I feel most focused and content. During long sessions, there are always moments that make me pause: a certain harmony, a delicate phrase, or a section of a piece that feels especially charming. I repeat it, listen closely, and simply enjoy the sound. These moments may be small, but they are always meaningful.
As my studies become more demanding, music continues to be my space for reflection and growth. This is why I created Tygerfy as part of my Lecture Recital series to share not only performances, but also the joy of learning, discovering composers, and finding personal meaning in music. My hope is that other fellow students, especially those beginning their own senior years, might find encouragement to explore classical music in their own way and discover the same enjoyment that I experience every day at the piano.
